Training with the SNIS Team

Sydney Neurointerventional Specialists accepts advanced trainees in interventional neuroradiology at the Prince of Wales and Liverpool Hospital Campuses.The SNIS training program meets and exceeds the standards set out in the Guidelines for Training approved by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Interventional Neuroradiology (CCINR). Trainees undertake a comprehensive two-year period of training encompassing skills training in neuroangiography and neurovascular imaging along with the full range of neurointerventional procedures, didactic tutorials, peer-review and audit, clinical research, and ward-based patient care.

To qualify for a training position with SNIS, candidates must have completed their training in radiology, neurology or neurosurgery

It is desirable that candidates have some prior experience with or exposure to basic neuroimaging, angiography, clinical neurosciences or all three prior to commencement of training.
