Once you have been allocated a time for your procedure, you will receive a telephone call from the hospital admissions office during which you will receive detailed instructions about what to do in the days and hours leading to your operation.
In some cases, you will have been advised by SNIS doctors to take blood thinning tablets (e.g. prasugrel and aspirin) for your operation. Do not cease these medications under any circumstances, even if told to do so by the hospital over the telephone.
