Dr Nathan Manning graduated from University of Melbourne Medical School in 2004. He undertook Basic Surgical Training at Royal Melbourne Hospital in 2006 and advanced Radiology training in 2008. In 2012 Dr. Manning commenced his fellowship training in Interventional Neuroradiology at Royal Melbourne Hospital. In 2014 Dr Manning undertook two further fellowships in Interventional Neuroradiology at Columbia Medical Centre, New York, NewYork. Dr Manning returned to Australia joining SNIS in July 2017.
Dr Manning has published numerous papers on endovascular management of acute ischaemic stroke and is frequently invited to conferences to provide an expert opinion. He has a strong interest in complex aneurysm repair and the treatment of brain arteriovenous malformations (AVM) and has written several book chapters on these topics.
Currently, he is a Visiting Medical Officer at Prince of Wales, Prince of Wales Private and Liverpool Hospitals.
Dr Manning is certified to practice Interventional Neuroradiology by the CCINR
