Neurointerventionist
Dr Whitley obtained his medical degree from the University of Cape Town in 2004. He subsequently relocated to Queensland, Australia where he completed his specialist Radiology training. This was followed by Interventional and Neurointerventional Radiology fellowships at Royal Brisbane, Royal Melbourne and Gold Coast University Hospitals.
Dr Whitley worked at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane before moving to Sydney where he is now appointed at Prince of Wales and Liverpool Hospitals. His areas of interest include aneurysm repair, dural AV fistulas and acute stroke treatment.
Dr Whitley has represented South Africa and Australia at Olympic distance and Ironman triathlon and is a competitive mountain biker and ultra-distance trail runner. He enjoys spending time with his family and getting taken for runs by his Hungarian Vizsla, Lucy.
